Together, We Create Opportunities That Last

The Beauty & Hair Training Program at KEYD is designed to give young people, especially women and marginalized youth in Kilimanjaro, practical skills that open doors to employment and entrepreneurship. The program trains participants in hairstyling, makeup artistry, nail design, and lash extensions, while also integrating business basics and digital literacy to ensure sustainability. What began as a small initiative is now one of our most impactful youth empowerment programs, creating pathways for self-reliance and reducing unemployment.

Program Highlights

Turning Skills into Confidence, Creativity into Income.

1st Cohort – August 2024
2nd Cohort – August 2024

3rd Cohort – January to April 2025

Program Impact

  • Over the course of just a year, the beauty training project has equipped multiple cohorts of women with market-ready beauty skills.

  • The training not only boosts self-confidence but also creates direct pathways to employment and entrepreneurship.

  • By December 2025, we will have nurtured a community of empowered women equipped to contribute to both household income and community well-being.

Skills for a Brighter Future

We equip youth with entrepreneurship and digital literacy, ensuring they can manage clients, market their services online, and grow sustainable businesses. Graduates become community role models, showing that skills and creativity can reduce unemployment, break cycles of poverty, and inspire others to embrace self-reliance.
