Afrikas Engleborn Tanzania
Afrika’s Engleborn is an internationally registered NGO in Tanzania with roots in Denmark. Its name, meaning “Angel babies of Africa,” is of Danish origin. The organization operates through two main initiatives: Malaika Watoto Children’s Home, which provides a safe home and education for disadvantaged children in Kilimanjaro, and Kilimanjaro Empowerment of Youth Development (KEYD), which equips young girls and boys with income-generating skills, while promoting community sustainability through environmental education, organic farming, and tree planting.

Malaika Watoto Home
Child Protection – Education Provision – Community Development
Malaika Watoto Children’s Home, we work tirelessly to transform the lives of children who have faced the most difficult beginnings— including orphans, abandoned babies, street children, and other vulnerable young ones. Our primary focus is on children aged 0–8 years, providing them with a safe, loving home and access to early education and care.
We invite you to explore our website to learn more about our mission. Whether through donations, volunteering, or spreading the word, your support makes a real difference. Together, we can bring hope, stability, and a brighter future to these incredible children.
Thank you for being part of the Malaika Watoto journey—one of the heartfelt initiatives of Afrika’s Engleborn.

KEYD Project
KILIMANJARO EMPOWERMENT FOR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
LEARN – COLLABORATATION – INNOVATE
Kilimanjaro Empowerment of Youth Development (KEYD) is one of the key initiatives under Afrika’s Engleborn, dedicated to empowering vulnerable young people in the Kilimanjaro region. Our focus is on equipping both girls and boys with practical, income-generating skills that can help them build independent and sustainable futures.
KEYD offers hands-on training in areas such as Beauty training in makeup and hair braiding and styling, entrepreneurship, organic farming, and other vocational skills that respond to the needs of our local community.
At the heart of our work is a commitment to sustainability, through environmental education, organic agriculture, and community-led tree planting initiatives, we teach young people to care for the land as they grow their potential.
By supporting KEYD, you’re helping create opportunities for youth who might otherwise be left behind, while contributing to the long-term well-being of our community and environment.
